Nicole Bobek's "Hallelujah" by K.D. Lang

Nicole Bobek, the 1995 U.S. National Champion and World bronze medalist, is back on the ice after a long hiatus. The 33-year-old was arrested for having a role in a crystal-meth drug ring in New Jersey back in the summer of 2009. She has since been charged with five years of probation.

Her comeback to the ice is part of her plan to rehabilitate her life and get herself back on the straight and narrow. Having the disciplined life of a performing skater is the first step in the right direction for Nicole, who was known for her stunning model-like appearance on the ice, her charisma and elegant spirals during her amateur career. Bobek, a 1998 Olympian, recently performed this beautiful program to K.D. Lang's magnificent rendition of "Hallelujah" at Skate for Love, a benefit for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Morristown, N.J. on April 16.

Despite not having performed in over six years, Bobek has quickly rebounded. Her performance here is proof of her natural skating talent, and her ability to captivate an audience. I'm so proud of her for returning to the ice, and as always, it's a pleasure to watch her skate. I wish Nicole all the luck and hope to see her skate in some televised shows next year.

Enjoy Nicole's performance!! (There is some background noise, but it doesn't really detract from this gorgeous program!)
