During the 2009-2010 Olympic season, Nobunari Oda debuted his Charlie Chaplin Freeskate to great success. The 24-year-old skater won both of his Grand Prix assignments, and finished second at the Grand Prix Final to eventual Olympic Champion, Evan Lysacek. Nobunari , a 6-time Japanese Championship medalist portrayed Chaplin, the comic best known for his silent film work, with boyish charm and sterling technical ability. Nobunari has some of the best knees in the business, as the landings of his jumps are soft, and supple with a smooth outflowing edge.
